“ The place is quite small, and the seating arrangement is so cramped with each other that it can be not very comfortable. Too near On the positive side, the menu is quite extensive and offers a wide variety of delicious Japanese dishes. The chicken katsu toji is quite nice, but it’s a bit on salty side. It can be paired with rice or a noodle udon set, which is good. The teriyaki salmon is also quite nice. The dumplings are delicious, but they’re a bit too salty on the sauce Overall, it’s a good place for decent Japanese food. If they could improve the seating arrangement and provide more space for relaxation, it would be even better. Price point is not the cheapest for lunch option ”
“ Quiet and lovely spot during the weekends. Visited twice, first with a group of friends and then on my own. Both times, service was excellent. They go around refilling tea and beverages and staff are always friendly and efficient when you request for condiments and assistance. I love the grilled salmon head and the option for no salt added. Only thing is the poor ventilation because the ceilings are rather low and it has this perpetual smoky smell. ”
“ A decent place to eat good Japanese food after a work day in CBD. Decent quality at a reasonable price. They try to innovate once in a while with new dishes, but more often than not, these innovations are mostly excessive layering of ingredients that cover each other flavours rather than enhancing the ingredients. Have you ever heard of avocado tempura? Sounds interesting, right? Too bad the tempura with the cheese does not mix well with the avocado, and you end up just tasting fried batter with melted cheese and some not so flavourful avocado in the middle ”
“ Went there for afternoon tea as I was in the area and looking for a place to sit down - no unpaid seating areas nearby. Had the kaisen seafood ankake (sauce over rice) set. After taxes and service charge is just below $10 which is a good deal for a rice , miso soup & drink. But frankly the seafood sauce was quite fishy. I had to add chili powder and wasabi to remove the fishy taste and smell. Afternoon Tea time set changes from time to time so possibly other options aren’t fishy. The service staff were prompt and friendly enough. It’s off peak hour so you can hear the staff doing prep work / noises. That’s fine to find somewhere to sit around for some hours. ”

“ Excellent service, felt so welcomed for lunch despite the outlet being busy. Best service I've had on ichiban outlets. Hire katsu was slightly tough and tasteless, but it was served with mustard, Tonkatsu sauce, and sesame seeds to be ground up. Side salad was refreshing and tasty. Free items if you have their membership card and accumulate spending. Every 20 bucks after ++ gets you one stamp. Lots of free items and can even exchange for cash voucher for next visit. Mini california maki was the free aka item this time round, very fresh and tasty. Salmon avocado handroll was an ala carte order, I remember it to be fresher, today's salmon was slightly stale. Overall a great place for lunch in cbd. ”
“ Chanced upon this Japanese restaurant at Marina Bay Link Mall which serves decent Japanese cuisine. A little pricey perhaps it’s because we over-ordered for 2 pax , otherwise everything quite ok. Tip: Marina Bay Link Mall has a dedicated carpark which provides easy access to all the restaurants inside. ”
